Paspaley Aviation is a specialist aviation services company in Darwin NT. After their Chief Engineer saw the work I had done previous for their contracted sheet metal worker, he contacted me to create some fly away riveting kits. I also got to employ skills learnt with laser etching/cutting to add a professional and custome touch to the tool boxes.
Jetfix Avionics is a Garmin Platinum Dealer providing maintenance and bespoke services to numerous aviation industries such as Fire, Medical and Oil/Gas. As a part of one their Garmin G600 TXi installs, they needed a bracket designed and engineered to securely mount the new LRU off of the existing mounting locations. I had modelled and ran FEA simulations on the proposed part before handing the collated documentation to an approved CASA Part 21 Engineer for further certification. Given the sense of urgency for the install and the quoted lead times of local workshops, I was also tasked with machining the part with my humble CNC router. I was extremely proud to see a cumulation of the wide array of skills I possessed.
